Ilmastonmuutos etenee arktisella alueella nopeammin kuin muualla. Sen vaikutukset yltävät ympäristössä tapahtuvista muutoksista elinkeinojen sekä kulttuurien muutokseen. Arktisten maiden tiivis yhteistyö on keskeistä ilmastonmuutosratkaisuja etsittäessä.
