Implementation of ACAF running from 2019 until 2021 has ended. The project team wishes to thank all the participants.

Arctic Network for Climate Adaptation and Food Security (ACAF)

ACAF goals are to promote international cooperation between parties active in the Arctic, to build partner networks, to prepare new climate resilience and climate change mitigation tools and solutions and to compile indicators to describe climate resilience. The project will enable the dispersion of climate resilience expertise and the creation of new business opportunities and innovations.

ACAF will also promote international cooperation in the Arctic in food security and innovation matters, as well as the participation of Finnish parties in such cooperation. The project will put into practice the work on climate resilience done by the Arctic Council and its working groups, including the expertise collected by the Arctic Resilience Forum on climate change mitigation.

ACAF is funded by the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and monitored by the Finnish Ministry of Forestry and Agriculture. It is coordinated by Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke). ACAF has started work in the beginning of 2020 and will be running until the end of 2021. The networking activities will continue after the project phase.
